25 Jan

Today was my first day of school. On the way home, I stopped in three stores and bought the following things:

– a book in Slovene

– a box of organic kiwis

– toilet paper

– padded envelopes to mail off the final pieces of grad apps

Monday is usually the day I go shopping for the big stuff on my grocery list (with a few other random trips thrown in there in between… living a 2 minute walk from a grocery store–and having to carry all your groceries home by hand–makes you do that).

In any case, today, I clearly only bought the important things in life. This is me trying to be economical. Let’s see how many days I can survive on kiwis, and tea I already bought last week, alone. (OK, and maybe some enchiladas that Meleah just made).
