So, a lot has happened since I last updated this blog in the summer of 2009. I’ll be blogging more regularly as I prepare to travel and live away from the U.S. over the course of the next year.

First, I’m headed to Gonville and Caius College at Cambridge University, from July 4 – August 13. During that time, I’ll visit Scotland, London, and hopefully Dublin (seeing as I’m taking a course on Joyce’s Ulysses). I’m looking forward, also, to taking a travel writing course. With that, I’ll have finished all my coursework for my MFA in writing! Now, if I can just find some time to finish editing that thesis… but it’s completely drafted, and as far as editing goes, it’s a third of the way done right now :)

Then I’ll be home for several weeks before moving to Ljubljana, Slovenia for nine months. I’ll be there from the beginning of October until the end of June. I was lucky enough to win a grant which will allow me to work on my writing and translation while I am there–which will be great!

So, since this is primarily a travel blog, expect many more updates in the months to come!
